    Crispy Tofu Recipe with step by step pictures. The crispy outer coating and the soft, tender interior of the soft tofu makes it delicious.

    Crispy Tofu

    I bought a packet of tofu and i was looking for new recipes to try it with it. First i thought of making tofu pakora, but i thought to make something totally different. I remembered a bottle of sweet chilli sauce sitting in the fridge, so i thought of using that as a marinate and coat this whole thing in breadcrumbs and fry till crispy, this way it will be crispy and flavourful.

    Ingredients for Crispy Tofu

    • Tofu - 1 packet (around 200 grams)
    • Garlic - 2 clove chopped finely
    • Red Chilli Flakes - 2 tsp
    • Sweet Chilli Sauce - 2 to 3 tbsp.
    • Soy Sauce - 2 tsp
    • Tomato Ketchup - 2 tbsp.
    • Bread Crumbs - 3 tbsp.
    • Oil for deep frying
     
    When i was making this recipe, i reserved some tofu chunks, i thought of making tso tofu using that but one night i was starving, so i took that tofu and pan fried it in some oil and tossed it in mushroom sauce, i had it with some maggi noodles and it was delicious.

    How to Make Crispy Tofu

    1. Cube tofu and take it in a bowl.
    2. Add all the ingredients in a bowl except breadcrumbs and mix well. Leave it to sit for 10 mins.
    3. Now coat this in breadcrumbs and fry in oil.
    4. Drain onto some paper towel and serve.

    Crispy Tofu Recipe Step by Step

    You will need some firm tofu
    Remove them from their packet
    Cube them
    Now take your other ingredients
    Take tofu in a bowl
    add in garlic
    some red chilli flakes
    some sweet chilli sauce
     
    soy sauce
    some ketchup
     
    Mix it well...Leave this to marinate for 10 mins
    Add in some breadcrumbs
    toss well
    Heat oil in a frying pan
    Drop the tofu in hot oil
    Fry till golden and crispy
    Serve
