Besan Stuffed Peppers Recipe

This recipe is very new to me, but i have seen this type of dish in many blogs which made me try my own take on it and it turned out to be super yum. Loved it to the core..

I stuffed these peppers with toasted gram flour with spices. but i have seen recipes which uses potatoes as stuffing. will share that version soon..

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 20 to 25 mins
Serves : 3 to 4

Banana Peppers - 8
Oil - 1 tblspn + 2 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - 1 cup
Salt to taste
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder / Malli Podi - 2 tsp
Amchoor Powder / Dry Mango Powder - 1.5 tsp
Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
Water a splash

Take your peppers, make a slit in the middle, remove the seeds and membrane. Set aside.

Heat 1 tblspn oil in a kadai. Add in cumin seeds and let them sizzle, now add in onions along with some salt, saute for a min or so.

Now add in gram flour and saute for 5 mins or so.

Now add in the spice powders and mix well.

Now add in coriander leaves and give a toss.

Remove this to a bowl and sprinkle some water over and mix well.

Stuff this into the peppers.

Heat some oil in a pan and place the peppers, cover and cook for 5 mins on each side.

Remove and serve.

Take all your ingredients
Wash your peppers..I used banana pepper

make a slit in the middle
Remove all the seeds and membrane
do this for all the peppers

Heat 1 tblspn of oil in a pan

add in some cumin seeds and let them splatter

add in onions

and some salt
Saute till it softens
Add in gram flour
mix well and fry this for 5 mins or so
Add in the spice powders

Keep tossing
Add in coriander leaves

Mix well

Remove this to a bowl

Add in some water, dont add too much..just enough water so the stuffing is a little wet and not too dry

Mix well

Stuff the pepper with this masala

all done..time to toast them

Heat oil in a pan

Place the peppers in the pan

cover and cook
now the peppers are done
flip over
cover it for few more mins

now the peppers are completely done
