Banana Mini Morsel Cake Bars Recipe - Eggless Banana Chocolate Chip Cake Squares Recipe

This is one recipe which i was looking forward to make for quite a long time. I loved the simplicity of this recipe. It is so easy to make and the taste is so much rewarding. YUM YUM indeed.

I seriously have a addiction towards bars, they are so handy. portable, mini size and you dont feel so guilty that you have gulped a whole lot of it. It is perfect for sharing as well. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turned out for you..Dont forget to enjoy it with a glass of cold milk..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 20 to 30 mins
Makes: 12 to 16 bars

All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup / 120 grams
Baking Powder - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Butter - 120 grams (around 1/2 cup)
Mashed Banana - 3/4 cup
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Sugar - 1/3 cup / 65 grams
Brown Sugar / Jaggery - 1/3 cup / 60 grams
Chocolate Chips - 1 cup

(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)


Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a square baking pan with parchment paper and grease it well. Set aside.

Take butter, both the sugars, vanilla, banana in a bowl and mix well.

Now add in flour, baking powder and salt and mix well.

Now add in chocolate chips and fold gently.

Spoon this into the baking pan and spread evenly.

Now bake this for 20 to 30 mins. Remove it and cool down completely. Remove it and slice into squares


Take all your ingredients

Line a square pan with parchment paper and set aside
Take some ripe bananas

mash it well and set aside

take butter in a bowl

add both of your sugar

cream well

add vanilla

add mashed banana

cream well

add in flour

add in salt and baking powder

fold gently

add in chocolate chips

mix well

spoon it into the pan

spread out evenly

bake till done

cool it down and remove it from pan

cut into squares

  3. Hi aarthi, I tried it today, but mine turned into cake not a bar.The texture of the dough was not like yours.what went wrong?.may be I added too much banana.(2 medium size bananas).

  4. @freetha banuthis bars will be thin like a soft moist cake. it is definetely not hard like a bar
