My diwali posts comes to a end by today. These are my final diwali post for this year. I really feel proud, because i have totally made 26 new post for this diwali, which is really a great achievement for me. Make sure you check all those posts.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Makes: 3 to 4 cups
Besan / Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu – 1 cup
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu – 1/2 cup
Salt a pinch
Ghee / Vanaspati / Butter – 1.5
Water as needed
Sugar – 3/4 cup
Water – 1/4 cup
Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
Oil for Deep Frying
Take gram flour, rice flour, salt and vanaspati in a bowl. Crumble it well. Now add water and make it into a sticky dough.
Put a kara sev mould in the murukku press. Pour the dough in a murukku press and press it straight into the oil. Fry till the shh sound subsides in oil. Drain and set aside.
Now in another pan, take sugar, water and mix well. heat and cook till it is thick. Now add in sev and keep tossing, it will get thick and start to crystalize.
Now make sure the sev is well coated in the sugar. Set aside to cool.
Once it is cooled, store in a air tight container for over 10 to 15 days.

|You need this big sev mould|
|take gram flour in a bowl|
|add in rice flour|
|add a pinch of salt|
|add in some butter or ghee or vanaspati|
|crumble it well|
|make it into a sticky dough|
|put the dough into the mould|
|press it to form kara sev|
|while you are frying, break them lightly using the spoon|
|fry till the shh sound subsides|
|now makes the sugar syrup..take sugar in a pan|
|add a splash of water|
|cook till it gets thick..|
|add in cardamom powder..|
|once it is thick,|
|add in sev and mix well|
|the sugar will thicken and start to crystalize|
|now it is done|
|set aside to cool down..|
|store in a air tight container|
