    Besan Ka Halwa Recipe with step by step pictures. Delicious Besan ka halwa is made with gram flour, ghee, sugar and nuts. This makes a perfect sweet for any festive occasions.

    Besan Ka Halwa

    This is an easy halwa made with gram flour and jaggery. You need a handful of ingredient to make this and it taste really delicious. I made this to add it in my holi recipe list..I hope you will try this out for this holi or any occasion.

    Ingredients for Besan Ka Halwa

    • Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - 1 cup
    • Jaggery / Sarkarai /Gur  - ½ cup grated or use powdered one
    • Ghee / Clarified Butter - ½ cup
    • Milk - 1 cup
    • Cashews , Almonds, Kishmish - 4 to 5 tbsp

    How to make Besan Ka Halwa

    1. Heat a nonstick pan, add in gram flour and roast on a medium heat till it darkens in colour and the raw smell leaves completely off. It will take around 8 to 10 mins.
    2. Now add in jaggery and mix well. Stir fry this for 2 mins or so.
    3. Now add in ghee and mix well. Cook this for 2 mins or so..
    4. Now add in milk and mix well so no lumps are formed.
    5. Now Keep cooking this till it thickens and leaves the sides.
    6. Now heat a tbsp of ghee and fry all the nuts and dried fruits in it. Now add it into the halwa and mix well.
    7. Serve warm.

    Ingredients

    Besan Ka Halwa Recipe step by step pictures

     
    Take all your ingredients
    In a dry nonstick pan, take gram flour
    roast it on a low heat till it darkens and the raw smell leaves
    from it..It will take around 10 mins
    add in jaggery, i used powdered jaggery
    stir fry for few mins
    now it is well mixed up
    add in ghee
    mix well and cook for a min or so
    add in milk
    mix well
    cook till no lumps are formed
    it will slowly leave the sides of the pan
    Now heat a tblspn of ghee in a small pan
    add in nuts and dry fruits
    fry them till golden
    add it in the halwa
    mix well
    as it cools it will get fluffy
    serve
