    Brussel Sprouts Sabji

    I have seen this Brussel Sprouts so many times in many cooking shows and other blogs. But I have never cooked with it or tasted it before. Recently when i went shopping i saw this vegetable on their shelves and i was quite surprised. Immediately i picked a bag of them and as soon as i came home i made this for lunch. It tasted pretty good.

    Ingredients for Brussel Sprouts Sabji

    • Brussel Sprouts - 20
    • Oil - 3 tbsp
    • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    • Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
    • Onions - 1 large chopped finely
    • Green Chillies - 2 chopped finely
    • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
    • Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - 4 tbsp
    • Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
    • Water as needed
    • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
    • Amchoor Powder - 1 tsp
    • Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped

    How to Make Brussel Sprouts Sabji

    1. Wash brussel sprouts well, peel the outer skin it looks wilted. Cut the stalks, slit it little. Set aside.
    2. Mix gram flour, chilli powder and water to a runny paste. Set aside.
    3. Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard, cumin and urad dal. Let it sizzle.
    4. Add in onions, chillies and saute for few mins.
    5. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute that for a min.
    6. Now add in salt and turmeric and toss well. Add in the brussel sprouts and mix well.
    7. Cover and simmer this on low heat for 10 to 15 mins. Sprinkle little water inbetween.
    8. Now once the brussel is cooked completely. Pour in the besan mix and cook on high heat till it is cooked and scrambled.
    9. Fry it till it gets nice and golden.
    10. Add in amchoor powder, garam masala powder and coriander leaves. Toss well.
    11. Serve.

    Ingredients
      

    • 20 Brussel Sprouts
    • 3 tbsp Oil
    • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds / Kaduku

    • 2 Green Chillies chopped finely
    • 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
