Serves: 3
Bajji Bonda Mix – 2 cup (Recipe here)
Banana Peppers / Bajji Mirchi – 6
Oil for deep frying
Water as needed
Chaat Masala Powder to taste
For Filling:
Onion – 1/2 cup chopped finely
Cheese – 1 cup grated
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves – 4 tblspn finely chopped
For Bajji Bonda Mix:(Mix all ingredients)
Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu – 1 cup
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu – 1/4 cup
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblspn
Chilli Powder – 1 tblspn
Salt to taste
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda – 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya podi – 1/4 tsp
Water – 3/4 cup or adjust
Method:
Mix all the ingredients for filling really well. So the cheese gets mushed into the onions.
Now slit banana pepper in the middle, fill it with filling.
Now mix water with bajji bonda mix and make a little thick batter.
Coat the mirchi with the batter and drop in hot oil and fry till golden on both sides.
Sprinkle top with some chat masala and serve.

Slit it open |

Now take your mirchi |
Dip it in batter |
coat it well |
Drop bajji in hot oil and fry till golden |
Drain it |
sprinkle top with some chat masala powder |

Great recipe this would go great with south indian dal fry
I just tried it wit grated carrots and cabbage instead of cheese it came out yummy
