Cake Pops Recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe is moist and crumbly cake mixed with rich buttercream frosting, then dipped in a sweet chocolate coating.

    Easy Cake Pops

Okay let me first talk about these cute little pops...I make these more often before, because whenever i bake a whole bunch of cakes and decorate it..I slice of some of the cake top part of sides for even decorating. So what i do is i freeze those cake scraps and use them to make these cute pops when needed.

    Ingredients for Cake Pops Recipe

    • Any cake of your choice (around 4 cups of crumbled cake mix)
    • Any frosting of your choice (around 1 cup of frosting)
    • Milk or Dark Chocolate Chips - 2 cups
    • Vegetable Oil - 2 tbsp
    • Sprinkles as needed for decorating

( I used chocolate cake and chocolate frosting)

But when you want to make this from scratch. you can use any of my cake recipes and make this...Since i bake quite a bit of cakes, i always have some leftover frosting which i used..So i used them to make this..You can make a batch of buttercream or use store bought ones too..

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

    Notes

1)Never add too much frosting to the cake. Else you wont get the right texture.
2)Always cool the cake completely before crumbling. Chill the cake for few hours for easy crumbling.
3)If you can get your hands on candy melts use them. They are so easy.
4)Buttercream frosting works best in this.
