Eggless Yogurt Chocolate Brownies Recipe – No Fat Brownies Recipe – Low Fat Greek Yogurt Brownies Recipe

I have been baking quite a lot of cakes, cupcakes, muffins and other baked goodies..But i completely forgot about brownies..It is one of my favourite baked goodies..Long back, i used to bake quite a lot of brownies recipes but somehow i totally forgot about it…No worries, now i am in complete baking spirit and i baked three variety of brownies in a row and each and everyone hit the spot..

This is a zero fat chocolate brownie recipe. it is baked with no oil or butter but the result is fudgy, moist and more important very tasty..
This brownie recipe is very basic and calls for basic ingredients..I will be sharing couple of rich brownie recipes in the coming sessions..

Preparation Time : 15 mins

Baking Time : 20 to 30 mins
Makes : 12 pieces

Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1/2 cup / 60 grams
Baking Powder – 1/4 tsp
Chocolate Chips – 1/2 cup ( i used semi sweet)
Regular Granulated Sugar – 1/2 cup / 100 grams
Cocoa Powder – 3 tblspn
Greek Yogurt or Thick Curd – 3/4 cup / 180 ml
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
White Chocolate Chips – 1/4 cup + more for sprinkling
Nuts – 1/4 cup

(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)

Method:
Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a 20 cm square baking pan with parchment and grease it well with oil.
Take flour, baking powder, cocoa powder in a bowl and mix well. Set aside.
Take semi sweet chocolate chips in a bowl, melt it down over a double boiler or in microwave.
Now take it out and add in sugar, yogurt and vanilla. whisk really well till it gets smooth.
Add in flour mix and white chocolate chips and nuts. Mix gently.
Spoon this in the baking pan and spread evenly. Top with some white chocolate chips.
Bake for 20 to 25 mins.

Remove it from oven and let it cool completely. Now remove it from pan and cut into pieces.

Serve warm.

Take all your ingredients
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and grease it well with oil or butter
take flour in a bowl
add cocoa powder
add in baking powder
mix well
Take chocolate chips in a bowl..i used semi sweet
melt it on a water bath
my chocolate ceased a little, in this recipe, it is not a issue
because everything will get smooth as you go
add in sugar
mix well
add in yogurt
and give a good mix..look it has become glossy and smooth
add in vanilla
mix well
add in flour cocoa mix
fold gently
add in little white chocolate chips
and some assorted nuts
mix well
spoon this into the pan
spread it evenly
sprinkle top with some white chocolate chips
bake them
let it cool down, then remove from tin
cut into squares
and enjoy
look at those little fingers coming to steal a piece
she started laughing and peaking in my photoshoot..
i couldn’t stop clicking..
then i asked her can you hold this plate and give a pose..
she told okay amma..When i asked her to smile,
she started staring at me and didn’t even showed a little smile..
So i stopped clicking..toddler habit!

    Brownies are lookjng good But how come this brownies are zero fat?
    Chocolate is a form of fat.It has lot amout of hydrogenated fat.

    Hello Aarthi!can I use semisweet baking bar instead of the chips and can I avoid the white chocolate chips?Will this alter the the taste?Also if the all purpose flour is replaced with wheat flour,will the taste vary?

    Hi Aarthi. Just a doubt – ur cup is 240ml you mentioned. So in the recipe for 1/2 cup do you take 120ml or 60gms? If you are taking 60gms do you still measure it in the 1/2 cup of your measuring cups? TIA.
