About Fried Veg Momos
Veg fried momos are made with basic pantry ingredients like flour, a mix of colorful vegetables and spices. The vegetables are tossed with soy sauce, ajinomoto and pepper to create the lovely umami flavour and aroma.
Veg fried momos are perfect as an evening snack, party appetizer. They taste amazing when served hot with spicy chilli garlic sauce, tomato ketchup or schezwan sauce.
Once shaped, the momos are fried in hot oil until golden crispy and gives that irresistible street style taste and crunch.

The recipe is so easy and very versatile. You can prepare and shape the momos in advance and store them in the freezer for later use.
It can be deep fried for extra crispiness or if you prefer a lighter and healthier version, the momos can be shallow fried. You can easily customize the filling by adding paneer, corn, soya chunks, chicken or prawn instead of vegetables.

- Roll the dough as thin as possible so momos cook evenly and fry crispy outside.
- Seal the edges tightly to prevent the filling from coming out while frying.
- Make sure the oil is fully heated before adding the momos. This prevents them from absorbing excess oil.
- Instead of deep frying, shallow fry the shaped momos in a pan by adding little oil. Flip and cook until it turns golden crispy.
