    Tangy lemon flavoured gelatin or jelly. This lemon jelly is made using gelatin, lemon juice which taste so delicious.

     

    Lemon Jelly

    Puddings are an easy way to include fruits in your kids diet. The jelly like texture is everyones favourite. This pudding is my latest discovery and i am in love with it. The jelly is sweet and a little tart which is just perfect.
     
    Lemon Jelly is a easy pudding or gelatin made using lemon juice, sugar and water. The jelly is set with gelatin but you can use agar agar as well.

    How to Make Lemon Jelly

    • Soak gelatin in some cold water for 10 mins till it softens.
    • Take water, sugar in a sauce pan, heat till it comes to a boil and sugar melts.
    • Now take it off the heat and add in lemon peel, gelatin mix and food colour. let it sit for 5 mins till the gelatin is completely melted.
    • Add in lemon juice and mix well.
    • Now pour this in mould and set in fridge for 6 to 8 hours.
    • Un mould and cut into cubes
    • Serve.

    Total Time: 3 hours hours 25 minutes minutes
    Servings: 4 servings

    Ingredients

    • Water - 2 cups
    • Sugar - ¾ cup to 1 cup
    • Lemon Juice - ¼ cup to ½ cup
    • Gelatin - 2 tsp
    • Lemon Food Colour few drops
    • Lemon peel a small piece

    Instructions

    • Soak gelatin in some cold water for 10 mins till it softens.

    Lemon jelly with step by step pictures

    take all your ingredients

     

    i am using this mould to set the jelly

     

    take gelatin in a bowl

     

    add water and let it soak for 10 mins

     

    now it is well soaked..set aside

     

    squeeze lemon juice

     

    take water in a sauce pan

     

    add sugar

     

    mix well

     

    heat till it comes to a boil and sugar melts

     

    add a small piece of lemon peel for flavour

     

    add the soaked gelatin

     

    whisk well till melted

     

    add a bit of food colour

     

    add lemon juice

     

    mix well

     

    strain this

     

    grease the mould really well

     

    pour the mixture in

     

    pop in fridge to set

     

    now it is done

     

    un mould

     

    slice and serve

      Can Agar Agar be used in place of gelatin? If so what would be the qty?
