Masala Pori Recipe
If you are looking for a quick spicy crunchy snack to go with your cup of tea then this is it..It is a puffed rice snack and it is a bit spicy but has lots of crunchy elements on them like peanuts, garlic, curry leaves. You can add some roasted gram dal in this, i didn't have any so i skipped that.

Ingredients for Masala Pori Recipe
- Puffed Rice / Pori - 4 cups
- Peanuts - 2 tbsp
- Roasted Chana Dal / Pori Kadalai - 2 tbsp
- Garlic - 5 cloves chopped
- Curry leaves a handful
- Dry Red Chillies - 2 broken into pieces
- Salt to taste
- Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi a pinch
- Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
- Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
- Oil - 2 tsp
How to make Masala Pori (Kara Pori Recipe)
- Heat oil in a kadai. Add in peanuts, garlic and fry till golden.
- Add in curry leaves, dry red chillies and mix well.
- Add in salt and spice powders, toss well.
- Add in pori and give a quick toss.
- Let it cool, store in a air tight container for a week.
- Serve
