Oats Bran Muffins Recipe / Breakfast Bran Muffins Recipe

This is one of the healthy muffins which are baked using oats bran. There are two types of bran, one is a oat bran and another one is wheat bran. They come from the outer husk of the oat and bran. If you find them in your supermarket, just make sure you stock them. they will be available in the cereal section of your supermarket.

You can make muffins out of them, add them to paratha dough, add them to your oatmeal or cereal as well..You can even add them to your milkshakes or smoothies..Such a healthy one..These muffins are perfect for breakfast, this with a cup of milk is just filling. This muffins has only 2 tblspn of oil so you can enjoy many with out any guilt..

Preparation Time ; 10 mins
Baking Time ; 20 mins
Makes : 12 muffins

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour / Atta – 1 cup / 130 grams
Oat Bran – 1 cup / 150 grams
Jaggery / Brown Sugar – 3/4 cup
Baking Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon Powder – 1/4 tsp
Egg – 1
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
Oil – 2 tblspn
Milk – 1  1/4cup / 300 ml
Sultanas / Raisans or any Dry Fruits – 1/2 cup / 70 grams

(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)

Method:

Preheat oven to 200 degree C. Line 12 cup muffin tray with cupcake cases and set aside.

Take wheat flour, oat bran, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon in a bowl and mix well.

Take egg, jaggery, vanilla, milk and oil in a bowl and mix till sugar is melted.

Pour this into the dry ingredients and fold gently.Add in sultanas and fold gently.

Scoop this into prepared muffin pan and bake for 16 to 20 mins.

Remove it from oven and let it cool for 10 mins.

Serve.

Take all your ingredients
You will be needing some oats bran..if you cannot find this,
 you can use wheat bran or powdered oats
Measure 1 cup and set aside
in another bowl, add in a egg
in goes some brown sugar, i used jaggery
add in oil
and some vanilla
mix well so the sugar is melted
add in milk
mix well, set aside so the sugar melts well
Take wheat flour in a bowl
Add in oats bran
in goes some salt and cinnamon
add in baking soda and baking powder
mix it roughly
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients
pour the wet ingredients
fold gently
add in raisans
mix well
Line muffin tray with cupcake cases
use a icecream scoop to scoop the batter
fill the muffin tin
bake them
look how beautiful it looks
Enjoy warm
enjoy with a dollop of butter or jam

    Hi…i just wanted to know the measurement if i am going to go eggless..replacing eggs with 3/4th cup curd would do or the other measurements would also change?
