    Palak Tofu Recipe - Tofu & Spinach Curry Recipe

    This is another simple spinach gravy recipe and it is similar to palak paneer but i used tofu instead of paneer and made this gravy less rich and made it healthy. It is pretty simple to make as well. It is so healthy because it doesn't need any cream in this.

    Preparation Time : 10 mins
    Cooking Time : 35 to 40 mins
    Serves : 6

    Ingredients:

    Oil - 2 tsp
    Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    Cinnamon / Pattai - 3 cm piece
    Bay Leaf - 1
    Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
    Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tblspn
    Green Chillies - 1 chopped
    Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
    Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - 1 tsp

    Garam Masala Powder - 2 tsp
    Tofu - 200 grams cubed
    Water as needed

    Milk or Cream- ½ cup
    Cornflour - 1 tsp
    Kasuri Methi Leaves - 1 tblspn


    For Cooking Spinach:
    Spinach / Palak - 4 cups chopped finely
    Garlic - 2 cloves
    Green Chilli - 1  chopped
    Water - ½ cup

    Method:


    Take spinach in a bowl,add in garlic, green chillies,add in half cup of water and boil it for 5 to 7 mins. Now it is cooked, take the leaves along in a blender and puree till smooth. Set aside.

    Heat oil in a kadai. Add in cumin seeds, cinnamon and bay leaf  and let them sizzle.

    Add in onions, green chilliesand saute till golden.

    Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.

    Add in all spice powder and mix well.

    Now add in spinach puree and mix well. Simmer for 5 to 8 mins.

    Add in water and make a gravy.

    Add in tofu and mix well. Simmer for few mins.

    Add in milk mixed with cornflour and kasuri methi leaves and mix well. Simmer for few mins.

    Serve with roti.

    add in water and bring it to a boil

    season with salt

    mix well and simmer for 5 more mins

    add in milk which is mixed with cornflour

    this will add creamyness and thickens the curry
