Aloo Capsicum Recipe with step by step pictures. This Aloo Capsicum or Aloo Shimla Mirch is made with Potato and Capsicum and this taste amazing with rice or roti.

    Aloo Capsicum Recipe

I made this curry last week and served it along with malli rasam. It was totally a yummy meal. The combination of potato and capsicum goes well together. There is no much spice powders. The flavour comes from crushed garlic and some cumin seeds. I used garlic cloves with skin on, so it doesn't get burn and i love the taste of this. So try it and let me know how it turns out.

Ingredients for Aloo Capsicum Recipe (Aloo Shimla Mirch)

    • Oil - 3 tbsp
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    • Garlic - 6 cloves crushed
    • Onion - 1 large sliced
    • Potatoes - 2 large peeled and cubed
    • Turmeric Powder / Manjal podi - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Capsicum / Bell Pepper - 1 cubed ( I used a mixture of yellow and red)
    • Chill powder - 2 tsp

    3. Add in salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Cover and cook for 15 mins on a low flame till the potatoes are tender.
