    Khichdi Recipe for Babies

I have been waiting to feed rice for maha for months, because we feed the first rice infront of god and take it as a function called as "Anna Prashan". Last Month we took that function, and from that day i am giving her lots of rice foods. As you all know rice is rich in carbohydrates and it gives the energy which your baby needs and helps in healthy weight gaining. Adding dal into rice makes it more wholesome and provides the protein which your baby needs. Make sure you check my puree for babies and soup recipe for babies.

Daily i never miss to feed this khichdi to maha, what i do is make many variations to it. And also i never miss to add homemade ghee to the khichdi. I have included a recipe for instant khichdi mix which is great for travelling, also I have over 11 recipes for instant porridge mix for babies.

Infants under 6 months should not be given any solid or semi solid food. They should be exclusively breastfed or formula fed. Also, please consult a paediatrician in case of health related issues with the baby.
