Rose Phirni
I have never ever tried phirni before. Even though it is such a easy peasy recipe to make, somehow i have never tried it. I have tried rice kheer before, this one is similar to that with slight variations.
I made this rose flavoured one, and it turned out in very pretty colour and flavour. Enjoyed it so much.
Ingredients for Rose Phirni
- Basmati Rice - 2 tblspn
- Milk - ½ liter + more as needed
- Sugar - ½ cup
- Rose Essence or Rose Syrup - as needed
- Pistachios - 3 tblspn chopped
- Almonds - 2 tblspn chopped
- Cashews -- 2 tblspn chopped

How to Make Rose Phirni
(I used rosemilk essence, so added just few drops.
If you are using rose syrup, add 2 to 3 tblspn )
- Take rice in a blender and powder it coarsely. Set aside.
- Take milk in a pan, bring it to a boil. Add rice and mix well.
- Cook this on low heat till the rice is done. Once the rice is cooked, add in sugar and rose essence and mix well.
- Now add in chopped nuts and mix well.
- Pour it into individual bowls and chill. Serve cold.

Aarthi this ia a gud idea of rose phirni.. butone point to e noted is your phirni looks watery, actual phirni's texture is like frozen icecream

Yes i think you have missed the final step. Phirni is always served chill. Aarthi you must freeze the phirni before serving it.
