Eggless Chocolate Brownies with Yogurt


You all know that i have a very serious addiction towards brownies..This one is a addition to my brownies collection...I love it so much, i can eat it all day..Specially this one is so moist and fudge kind of brownies, which is my favorite. These have curd and fruit jam in them which make them even more special..These both provides a little tart which really makes it.. 



This is my first attempt of making eggless brownies, i have no idea how these will turn out..But once i made them they were pretty good..I added some cashews in this, you could add anything as you like..I added some chocolate chips to make it even more chocolaty, but you can skip that..

Ingrediants:

All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 ¼ cup / 150 gms
Sugar – ¾ cup / 150 gms
Butter - 120 gms / 4 ounces / ¼ pound
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
Cocoa powder- 1/3 cup / 35 gms
Curd / Yogurt – ¾ cup - 2 tblspn / 5 fluid ounces / 150 ml
Milk - ¼ cup / 60 ml / 2 fluid ounces
Baking Powder –  ¾ tsp
Fruit Jam- 1 ½ tblspn
Cashews - ½ cup chopped / 75 gms ( any nut as you wish)
Chocolate Chips – ½ cup / 75 gms (Optional)

Method:

Preheat the oven to 190°C / 380°F…Butter a square baking pan and dust it with flour, Coat all sides with flour and tap away the excess. Sieve flour, cocoa and baking powder together. Set this aside.
               
In a mixing bowl take butter, sugar and vanilla and beat them till fluffy.

Add milk, curd, jam and mix well. Add in the flour- cocoa mixture and mix well.

Throw in chopped cashews and chocolate chips and combine well.

Pour this into the prepared pan and bake it for 35-40 mins.

Let it cool completely before flipping over.

Cut into squares and serve with a cup of milk.

and cream them together

add milk
curd

and jam
add in the flour mixture
mix well
add nuts and chocolate chips
mix well
pour it in the tin
and bake it
invert it
Cut and serve
Enjoy

    Thanks for this timely recipe. It was my daughter's (star) birthday on the 4th and I baked this and sent to her school. There was not even a crumb remaining in the box. Clean swipe.......ha ha ha!!! Actually, I did not even get to taste it, but I guess from the feedback from her classmates I guess it was awesome...Now they want my daughter to celebrate her B'day atleast once every week....;-)

  26. Hi Aarathi �� thanks for the wonderful receipe....my mixture is not getting baked only.. I kept for around 2 hrs in the PRESSURE COOKER still it didn't get baked...is it because I put extra butter?? The mixture appears to be lill oily..wat shud I do now??
