Now remove the cake carefully. Spread the mousse all over the cake.

Now take your chocolate sauce, pour it over the cake and top the cake with chocolate shavings.

Chill the cake overnight. Serve.

HERE IS A QUICK VIDEO:

Pictorial:

Drizzle some oil in

grease it well and set aside.

Bring 1 cup of water to a good boil

Take butter in a sauce pan

Melt it down

Take it off the heat and set aside.

Take eggs in a bowl

add in vanilla

pour in some buttermilk

add in baking soda

mix well and set aside

Take flour in a bowl

add in sugar

add in salt

mix well

pour the chocolate mix in

mix gently

pour in egg mix

fold gently

Pour into baking pans

Bake till done..Let the cakes cool a bit

While the cakes are cooling, i made a batch of chocolate mousse..RECIPE HERE

Remove the cakes from the pan, let it cool completely

now take the same removable base pan, if you dont have that,
just line the base of the pan with plastic wrap or foil

Place a cake in the bottom..

Spoon generously the dark chocolate mousse

spread it out evenly

Now place the other cake over it....
Let it set for 15 mins in fridge
now remove them

Spoon the mousse over the top

spread it all over the cake

yum

Then i took my readymade chocolate topping

poured it out in a cup

pour it over the cake

Be generous

Look at that
I shaved some chocolates

Topped the whole cake with it

Chill the cake for a while and serve

  22. Hi aarthi..tried the cake ..it came out really tasty.....though the mousse was a little runny..guess should try freezing it for some time before spreading it..would that b fine?

One more thing I wanted to check with u was when I bake a cake I beat the white and yolk of the eggs separately.. but u beat both together...does it effect the texture of the cake...last query can v use d egg beater to mix the cake batter.. I normally use a flat spatula to fold it but it takes a lot of time...
