Chicken Cordon Bleu Recipe



This is a fantastic chicken roulade recipe. Normally you have a slice of ham or some kind of preserved or cured meat in it. I just skipped it and used only mustard sauce and cheese in it..The roulade turned out so moist and very juicy..Hubby loved it so much...Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you...

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Chilling Time : 45 mins
Cooking Time : 25 to 30 mins
Serves: 2

Ingredients:

Chicken Breast - 2 large
Mustard Sauce - 2 tblspn
Cheese Slices - 2 to 4
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1/2 cup
Egg - 1 large
Bread Crumbs - 1 cup or as needed
Oil for pan frying

Method:

Take chicken and slit it in the middle, so it opens like a book. Wrap it with cling wrap and use a rolling pin to bash it so it gets little thin.

Now season the chicken with salt and pepper. Now spread mustard over the chicken and lay cheese over it.

Now roll the chicken well. Wrap the chicken with cling wrap and freeze for 30 mins or so.

Now season the flour, egg and breadcrumbs with salt and pepper.

Now take the chicken in flour, then egg and breadcrumbs. Now chill this for another 15 mins or so.

Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Place a wire rack over a tray.

Heat oil for deep frying, pan fry the chicken till it gets golden on all sides.

Remove the chicken and place it over the wire rack placed over a baking tray. Bake this for 15 mins.

Remove it and cool it for 5 mins. Slice and serve.

place cheese slices over it


now roll it


seal from the sides and roll


keep rolling

wrap it with plastic and tighten the sides


now put it in freezer for 15 mins


Now take the remaining ingredients


crack open a egg


season with salt and pepper


whisk well and set aside


take flour in a plate


season with salt and pepper


mix well and set aside


take breadcrumbs in a plate


season with salt and pepper


mix well and set aside


Now take the chicken


roll it in flour


roll it well


drop it in egg


coat it well


now place it in crumbs


roll it well


now chill this for 15 mins 


Place a rack over the tray


heat oil for frying


drop the chicken in


fry on medium low heat


now flip over and cook on other sides


keep flipping so all the sides are well browned





remove it 


place over the rack and bake it


now it is done


Slice and serve
