Lemon Chicken Recipe

Lemon chicken quite a popular chicken recipe, i made it few days back..It is so easy to make and turns out very very delicious..Hubby went crazy over this chicken..It was that good..You have to try it for sure..This is a tangy, sweet and lipsmackingly delicious chicken dish..

This is a simple version of making this recipe and it was so tasty..You have to try it once to see how tasty it turns out..It will be your kids new favourite..I made another popular chicken recipe will share it soon..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves: 2


Chicken Breast - 1 sliced thinly
Oil - 4 tblspn
Garlic - 3 cloves chopped finely

For Batter:
Egg - 1
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Cornflour - 3 tblspn
Water a little

For Sauce:
Lemon Juice - 1/4 cup
Water - 1/2 cup
Soy Sauce - 1 tsp
Sugar - 2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Cornflour - 1 tsp


Heat oil in a pan.

First lets make the batter. Take egg in a bowl, season with salt and pepper. Whip this till fluffy and frothy. Add water, cornflour and mix well. Dip chicken in this and fry in oil till golden.

Mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.

Heat a tsp of oil, add in garlic and saute till golden. Pour in sauce and mix well. bring this to a boil and cook till it is shiny.

Now add in chicken and mix well.

Serve with a sprinkling of sesame seeds.

Take all your ingredients

First lets make a simple batter...crack open a egg

season this with little salt and pepper

now whip this well

whip till little frothy..i added little water to this

add in cornflour

mix well

now take your chicken

dip it in batter

i heated just enough oil to cover the bottom...drop chicken in

fry till golden

fry till golden

drain and set aside

Now for sauce..take lemon juice

add little water

add little soy sauce

add in sugar

season with salt and pepper

add in little cornflour

mix well

now in the remaining oil

add in garlic

fry till golden

pour in sauce

keep mixing

bring this to a boil

boil till it gets thick

add in chicken

toss well

    hey Aarthi - can I use your "Nattu Kozhli" receipe for my poetntial Cooking session here in Perth (I shall get this dicussed with my team here anyways before launch), thought to seek your permission before that and I would specify that you are my source tho!!
    In Perth, all the Punjabi's cook something so called a weird "Butter Chicken" in a bowl and sell them at Restaurants for $40.00, so why not the Westerners simply follow your receipe and save their money and inturn eat hygenically? what say Aarthi.. look forward for your reply :)

  7. i am alws worried about heating lemon. so i hesitate trying lemon chicken... your recipe looks really simple and yum and tempts me to try..... but boiling lemon for long time.. will it give bitterness? is there any tip to avoid it... please clarify
