Mathura Peda Recipe - Mathura Ka Peda Recipe

This is what i made using my 1 min instant khoya. Mathura ka peda is a popular northindian sweet recipe, it is made in many ways. And this is how i make it. It is made using a mix of toasted khoya and sugar. So tasty and so easy.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time  : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 20 mins
Makes : 15 peda

Unsweetened Khoya / Mawa - 2 cup (Recipe here)
Sugar - 1/2 cup + extra for rolling
Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
Milk - 1 tblspn (Optional)

Grate khoya, add it to a dry pan, roast till golden brown.

Now take it in a blender, add in sugar, cardamom powder and pulse few times. Add a splash of milk and pulse it.

Now remove it to a bowl. Take small portion and shape it into ball.

Roll it in sugar and set aside.

Take your khoya..i used instant 1 min khoya

now measure this in a cup

you need 2 cup of grated khoya

now take them in a nonstick pan

roast them

roast them on low heat

it will turn golden brown

now it has turned golden

now it is done

remove to a bowl

add in sugar

add in cardamom powder

mix well..if you can you can shape ball right from this..but my mix was too dry
