    1)Traditional Method:

The traditional method of making peda requires lots of time and patience. You need to keep simmering milk in a large pot till it is reduced. Then add lots of sugar and keep cooking till it forms into a dough like. Small portions are pinched from it and shaped into peda like. In my opinion that is the most loved recipe from my blog. 2)Using Sweetened Condensed Milk (Malai Peda):

This is one of the easiest way of making milk peda, It calls for sweetened condensed milk as the main ingredient. Condensed milk is cooked together with little lemon juice and milk powder till it thickens. Then the mixture is shaped into small pedas.

Milk peda step by step pictures

1)Making milk peda at home is very easy to make. All you need is to mix few ingredients together in a bowl and mix. First take a bowl. Add in powdered sugar in a bowl. You can powder normal sugar in a blender and powder it. Or you can use icing sugar or confectioners sugar. I used ½ cup of sugar. You can add more or as needed.

2)Add in milk powder. This is also known as dry milk powder. You can use non fat dry milk powder or normal milk powder.

4)Add in cashew powder. This is optional. You can either skip this or use any nuts powder. You could add almond powder too.

5)Now add in ghee little by little. You could use some warm ghee so the sugar starts to melt faster.

6)If the mixture is not coming together, you could add some milk and make a dough. Adding milk to peda will reduce the shelf life of the peda. You have to store the peda in fridge if you use milk.
