    About this Recipe

A tart is a baked dish with a filling on top of a pastry base and an open top that is not covered with pastry. The pastry is usually shortcrust; the filling can be sweet or savoury, though modern tarts are usually fruit-based, with custard on the side. Tartlet refers to a miniature tart, such as egg tarts. There are no clear distinctions between the categories of tart, flan, quiche and pie.

A chocolate tart, also known as a chocolate cream pie, is a dessert made of dark chocolate, cream, and eggs that have been beaten together before being poured into a crisp, sweetened pastry shell and baked until firm. It is classified as a custard tart because it contains an egg-based filling. The dish is similar to chocolate mousse
in composition, but baking gives the chocolate tart a firmer texture.

The French word tarte can mean either pie or tart, as they are essentially the same, with the exception that a pie usually covers the filling in pastry, whereas flans and tarts leave it open. Tarts come in a variety of flavours, including Treacle tart, meringue
tart, tarte tatin, and Bakewell tart. A jam tart substitutes jam for fresh fruit.

This tart is so chocolaty, frankly you will get into chocolate sick when you have this. Each mouthful will dissolve meltingly in your mouth. It is that good.. I used strawberries as topping to make this more colourful, but you can easily use raspberry, blueberry or any fruit as you like.

Ingredients For No Bake Chocolate Strawberry Tart

    Fresh Cream :
Fresh cream is a dairy product derived from milk. It is created by processing and sterilising milk at high temperatures before packaging it. Because it contains only 18-25% milk fat, it cannot be used as whipping cream (which contains almost 35 percent milk fat).

    Butter :
The best flavour comes from butter, which forms light, lofty, flaky layers in pie crust. The flakiness is due in part to the water content of the butter, which evaporates and turns to steam as the pie bakes, separating and puffing up the layers of dough.
