    Mushroom Manchurian Recipe with step by step pictures. This is made with Mushrooms, Bell Pepper,Tomato Ketchup and Soya Sauce.

     

    Mushroom Manchurian

    This is a mouth watering dish. I love all chinese recipes so this is not an exception. I made this for lunch few days back and served it with chapati and loved it to the core.

    Ingredients for Mushroom Manchurian

    • Mushrooms - 200 grams cleaned and sliced
    • Oil for deep frying
      For Batter:
    • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup
    • Cornflour / Cornstarch - ½ cup
    • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Water - ¾ cup
      For Sauce:
    • Oil - 1 tsp
    • Onion - 1 medium size cubed
    • Garlic - 4 cloves chopped
    • Green Chilli - 2 chopped
    • Bell Pepper / Capsicum - 1 medium size cubed
    • Tomato Ketchup - 3 tblspn
    • Soya Sauce - 1 tsp
    • Vinegar / Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - ½ tsp
    • Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
    • Spring Onion - 3 chopped finely
    • Water as needed
    • Cornflour - 1 teaspoon mixed with tblspn of water

    How to make Mushroom Manchurian

    1. Mix all the ingredients for batter. The batter should be little thick. Coat all the mushrooms in this. Fry in hot oil till golden. Drain and set aside.
    2. Heat oil in a pan. Add in garlic, onions, green chillies. Saute for a min.
    3. Add in bell peppers and saute for 2 to 3 mins.
    4. Now add in all the sauces, vinegar pepper, salt, sugar and mix well.
    5. Add in water and bring it to a boil.
    6. Add in fried mushrooms and mix well. Add in cornflour slurry and mix well
    7. Now add in spring onion and mix.
    8. Serve.

    Ingredients

    • 1 medium Onion cubed
    • 4 cloves Garlic chopped

    • 3 tablespoon Tomato Ketchup
    • 1 teaspoon Soya Sauce
    • 1 teaspoon Vinegar / Lemon Juice
    • Salt to taste

    • 1 teaspoon Pepper Powder
    • 3 Spring Onion chopped finely

    Take all your ingredients
    Slice your mushrooms
    Batter ingredients...
    Take it in a big bowl
    Add in water
    Make it into a thick paste
    add in mushrooms
    coat it well
    drop it in hot oil
    fry till golden
    remove them to a plate
    Heat oil in a pan
    Add in onions, garlic and chillies
    saute for a min
    add in capsicum
    saute for 2 to 3 mins
    Add in ketchup
    soya sauce
    vinegar
    mix well
    add in salt, sugar and pepper
    pour in water
    mix well
    add in fried mushrooms
    mix well
    add in cornflour slurry (cornstarch mixed with some water)
    mix well
    add in chopped spring onion
    serve

      i tried ur receipe . it was awesome. but mushroom is not crispy after i fried. what i have to do to make mushroom crispy.

      Hi Aarthi,
      I tried this dish twice but the batter got separated from mushrooms while frying and it didn't turn out good. Do let me know where I go wrong

        Make the batter thicker and also fry in hot oil.
