    Creamy Mushroom Toast Recipe

Mushrooms on toast is the popular recipe which can be either served for breakfast, brunch or any time of the day. This mushroom toast recipe has a special addition of truffle oil which takes it to the next level.

    About Creamy Mushroom Toast Recipe

I love mushroom a lot. Free time we buy mushroom at home I make it into a biryani, curries or as a stuffing inside sandwich. This time I decided to use it in a toast which is perfect for breakfast or brunch. I decided to make a creamy mushroom filling without the addition of flour so I used a spoon full of fresh cream which did the magic.

Mushrooms and truffles goes well together, they are a match made in heaven. I had a bottle of truffle infused olive oil sitting in my pantry which was begging to be used. I spoon over the creamy delicious mushroom filling over the crispy buttered toast and drizzled it with the truffle oil. When I took the first bite OMG I was in heaven. The truffle just enhanced the mushroom taste and give it a very earthy feel to it. This recipe is a must try recipe and I will try to only include the link of the truffle oil which I used in this blog post.

How to Make Mushrooms on Toast

    Pre-preparation

Finely chopped onions and set aside. Clean your mushrooms and put them dry with a paper towel. Slice them and set aside. If you are using fresh garlic I would suggest you to use four clove of garlic which are finely chopped. Grate your Parmesan cheese and set aside. Finely chop your parsley leaves and set aside for garnishing.

    How to Cook Mushrooms

Start by making the filling. Heat butter in a sauté pan, add an onion and give a 30 Second saute. Add in mushroom and cook it on high heat for 4 to 5 minutes till all the water evaporate from the mushrooms and let it get some brown colour.

    Seasoning Mushrooms

Season with garlic powder, oregano, red chilli flakes and salt. Stirfry for another two minutes. If you are seeing some brown bits in the bottom of the pan I would suggest you to add a splash of water into the pan and scrape it using your wooden spatula.

    Creamy Filling

Now add fresh cream and Parmesan cheese, mix it really well.  Finally add in chopped parsley and your filling is done.

    Serving

Toast your bread and butter it generously. Place your bread slices on the serving platter, spoon your creamy mushroom filling over the toast generously. Sprinkle the top with some paprika, parsley, and give a generous drizzle of your truffle infused olive oil. Serve. immediately.
