    Crispy mushroom poppers recipe made with cheese filling and fried till crispy. This makes a great snack option. Perfect party snack to serve with drinks.

    About Mushroom Poppers

    These are easy snack made with mushrooms. Mushrooms are filled with cream cheese and mozzarella cheese which are seasoned with garlic, salt and pepper. This stuffed mushrooms are then coated in a batter and breadcrumbs. Mushrooms are fried till crispy in oil.

    Kids loves these as snack after school and parties will be lit when this dish is served with drinks.

    Ingredients for Mushroom Poppers Recipe

    • 20 Mushrooms
    • ¼ cup Cream Cheese
    • ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese 
    • 4 Cloves Garlic
    • 1 tsp Dried parsley
    • Salt to taste
    • Black pepper powder to taste
    • Oil for deep frying
    • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
    • ¼ cup Cornstarch
    • ¼ cup All purpose flour
    • Salt to taste
    • Black Pepper powder to taste
    • 2 cups Panko Breadcrumbs 

    How to Make Mushroom Poppers (Crispy Stuffed Mushrooms)

    Preparation

    Take Mushrooms, remove the stalk. Keep the mushrooms whole, chop the stalks very finely. You will be using the stalks in the filling. 

    Make Filling

    Take cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, salt, pepper, parsley, garlic and mix well. Add in the mushroom stalks and mix well. set aside.

    Stuffing Mushrooms

    Take the mushrooms, fill with the cheese stuffing. 

    Assembling

    Mix 1 cup flour, ¼ cup cornstarch, salt, pepper in a bowl. Add water and make a batter. Take some plain flour in a bowl.  Take Panko bread crumbs in another bowl. 

    Coating 

    Coat mushrooms in plain flour, dip them in batter, coat in breadcrumbs. Now dip them again in batter and coat in breadcrumbs again. 

    Frying

    Place this in fridge. Heat oil for deep frying. Drop mushrooms in and fry till golden brown.

    How to Air fry Mushroom Poppers

    Assemble the mushroom poppers as mentioned. Place it in air fryer basket and spray with cooking oil. Then air fry the mushrooms at 180 degree C for 15 to 20 mins till crispy.

    How to Make Mushroom Poppers in Oven

    Assemble the mushroom poppers as mentioned. Place it in a baking tray and spray with cooking oil. Pop it into a 200 degree C preheated oven and bake for 20 to 25 mins till golden and crispy.

    Tips & Tricks

    • You can assemble the mushroom poppers and freeze them for later use. Freeze them using a ziploc bag.
    • Make sure you cover the mushrooms in breadcrumbs. Give double coating to the mushrooms so when you fry. It doesn't leak water.
    • Make sure you dry the mushrooms really well with a paper towel before stuffing.

    Mushroom Poppers Recipe Step by Step Pictures

    1)Remove stalks from mushrooms. Set aside.

    2)Finely chop mushroom stalks.

    3)Make the filling. Take cream cheese in a bowl.

    4)Add in grated cheese

    5)Add in chopped mushroom stalk. Season with salt and pepper.

    6)Add in dried parsley.

    7)Add in finely chopped garlic.

    8)Mix well. This is your filling.


    9)Take whole mushroom

    10)Spoon in the cheese filling.

    11)Take flour in a bowl. Add in corn starch.

    12)Season with salt, pepper and water.

    13)Make it into a batter.

    14)Take your stuffed mushrooms

    15)Coat the mushrooms in the flour.

    16)Coat in batter.

    17)Coat them in breadcrumbs.

    18) Now let's double coat them.

    19)Dip it again in batter.

    20)Coat in breadcrumbs.

    21)Now it is well coated.

    22)You can place them in fridge for few minutes before frying.

    23)Drop in hot oil and fry till golden brown.

    24)Drain and serve.


    25)Serve.
