Andhra Chutney Powder Recipe – Andhra Paruppu Podi Recipe – Kandi Podi Recipe

I wanted to share this podi here for a long time. Even though this is a staple in our house, i somehow missed to share it here. Finally i made quite a few powders yesterday specially for blog. Will share all those soon.

Dominos Oregano Seasoning

This can be served over some rice and a drizzle of ghee. You can have it with idli or dosa too.Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Makes: 1 cup

Ingredients:


Chana Dal / Kadalai Paruppu – 1/2 cup
Toor Dal / Tuvaram Paruppu – 1/2 cup
Roasted Gram Dal / Pottu Kadalai – 1 tblspn
Coriadner Seeds – 1 tsp
Jeera / Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya Podi – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:

Take all ingredients in a dry pan and roast till golden.Set aside so it cools.

Take it in a blender along with salt and powder fine.

Store in a container and have with rice or idli, dosa.

take it in a dry pan
add asafoetida
roast on a low heat
roast till golden
once it is cooled, take it in a blender
add salt
powder finely
cool the powder
Store it in a air tight container..This can be had by mixing it with some oil or rice.

    In case we need garlic should we dry roast it along with the other ingredients? Thanks in advance

    Hi Aarthi…have u added sesame seeds also. See it in the pic. But it's not given in the list of ingredients. Thank u.

    Hi aarthi u have used seasame seeds but u didn’t mention in the ingredients list?so we should use seasame seeds or not?
