Hi Aarthi,
very delicious and u made it so simple this receipe.
Though I dont understand ,the term ,,pulse it for few time,,
What do u mean by that?
can u clear this?
thank you.
Aarthi
@AnonymousPulse it for a few times means..You should add the bread into the blender or food processor and click the button for few times.so that any lumps from the bread will break down.
Anonymous
Hi when I tried the outer part was hard n only inner part absorbed syrup..y is that???
Aarthi
@AnonymousYou must have fried it for a long time so that it must have turned hard.
AK
Thank u for the recipe, it was real quick and easy. The Jamuns turned out well and no one could tell the difference just as you said.
Anonymous

They look so good!!! I'm trying to make them but something went wrong, I got a kind of soft paste out of the blender and impossible to roll them..will give another try without using the blender..thx again:)Sun
Samuel Wisem
They look really amazing and so delicious!! I'm trying to make them but something has gone wrong because I got a kind of soft paste out of the blender..impossible to roll them..will give another try and will skip the blender step..cheers!
Aarthi
@Samuel WisemI think u didn't squeeze the bread properly. You can add some bread into that mixture and mix them well. So the bread absorbs the excess moisture.
Prachi
Such an awesome recipe Aarthi! Im surely going to give it a try
Shafna Ashmi

Hui Aarthi.. I tried ur this bread gulab jamun recipe.. Its gud n simple.. BT only problem I ever face during cooking is it seems uncooked from inside center.. Outer core is crispy or soft n nice.. BT inner not gud.. Plz clear my doubt yaar
Aarthi
@AnonymousYou must have over fried it..just fry on medium low heat till it is coloured, this way it will absorb better
Anonymous
i tried it but i forgot to squeeze off the extra and then i put some(a lot) maida!!! i knew from that point that it won't come out good..also my syrup hardens when i leave it for some time!!all in all bad experience all my mistake..pls tell me what to do in such situation..syrup won't soak and it was all hard from inside..maida was the problem i know
Anonymous
Hii ya tried on low flame once too till it become brown from outside.. And also Tried wid making very small size balls BT still found uncooked from inside.. Outside colour is gud.. Not only dis but many times I cook other sweets also like gujiya etc dey also I find maida uncooked from inside nd center when I cut or during eating.. Wat to do. . plz suggest wat to do..
Aarthi
@Anonymousi am not sure dear
Sumi
Hi aarthi... I tried this yesterday... I thought let it soak well and when I took it this morning the jamuns had got stuck to the borosil... I was shocked... I did not wrap it as you did... I closed it with a plate.. Not air tight... Was that the mistake??? Or the consistency of my sugar syrup was wrong???? Pls help... I'm planning to do it again today
Aarthi
@SumiIt is because of the syrup, you have over cooked it so it has got thick..So it made the jamun stick
Anonymous
I tried but these were so hard in consistency
Aarthi
@AnonymousYou have over fried it, that is the problem
Anonymous

Turned out well.. Thanks..
sonali
i tried this recipe but the balls were too hard and it did not absorb sugar syrup at all.
y so?
Aarthi
@sonaliyou have over fried it, so the outer has become too hard..just boil the jamuns in the syrup a little so it absorbs
sonali
i tried it but got no response even after 12 hours it was hard
Aarthi
@sonaliput the pan on heat and boil for few minutes and leave it to soak it for two hours
niruu
i tried but after putting it in suger syrup it shrikned like a broken foot ball .... and vr hard also from out side what went wrong-
??????
Aarthi
@niruuu must have over fried it.
