Easy Carrot Poriyal Recipe

One of the easiest and quickest sidedish you can whip up for plain rasam rice or curd rice or anything. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 15 to 20 mins
Serves : 2

Ingredients:
Carrot – 2 large cut into pieces
Oil – 2 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu – 1 tsp
Curry leaves a sprig
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add in mustard, urad dal and curry leaves. 
Add in carrots and salt. Cook covered for 10 mins till carrots are done.
Now open the lid and saute the carrots till it gets little crispy.
Add in chilli powder and mix well.
Serve.

Wash carrots really well

cut them like this

cut them into pieces

Now take your ingredients

Heat some oil in a pan

add in mustard and urad dal

along with some curry leaves

Saute for a min

add in carrots

season with some salt

Mix well

Cover and simmer

Now the carrots are cooked

Now saute the carrot and make them crispy

add in chilli powder

toss once

Serve

    Dear aarthi

    Peel / scrape the outer skin of the carrots as this contais unseen eggs of worms ….sometimes not destroyed by heat too leading to health issues
    Kindly include it.
