You all know that i love baking cakes. Even though i bake complicated and tricky fun cakes occasionally. Most of the time i go for simple tea time cakes. Not only they are easy to make, but they taste really great with a cup of tea or milk.

Hi Aarthi!
I am a very very very big fan of you. I wish you all the very best in your future. I have a question, if we want to make double the quantity of french yogurt cake, can we bake it in 8/8 inches pan or other big baking pan and do we need to maintain same temperature for same time or more?
Thanks in advance.

Dear Aarathi,
I found your blog via pinterest, and I stayed a little while reading your many yummy recipes. I’m done to try your white chocolate cheesecake bar – so decadent!
Then I landed on your French yogurt cake recipe, that look very nice, but I want to give you the real recipe of this cake 😉
In France yogurt are sold in individual cups, measuring 125 ml. This cup is used for measuring other ingredients of this recipe. For the recipe A la française, you need a cup that measures 125 ml (and not the regular measuring cup).
So the proportion will be:
– 1 cup of yogurt
– 3 cup of flour
– 2 cup of sugar (personaly I put 1 1/4 and it is enough for my taste)
– 1/2 cup of oil
– 3 eggs
– 2 1/2 spoon baking powder
You mix all the ingredients. At that point you can add whatever you want (cocoa powder, fruits, nuts…).
You bake 35 minutes at 180 degrees C.
Try it! I hope you will like it 🙂
