    Chocolate Avocado Muffins

    This was my last few days breakfast muffin. i made a big batch and put it in an air tight container and stored it in fridge. Daily morning i warmed this muffin for few secs in microwave and had it with a cup of soy milk. YUMMY ONE.

    This muffins turned out so soft, moist and extremely chocolaty. Avocado act as a great eggless substitute in this recipe. You don't need much oil as well in this recipe. So it is so healthy and taste so delicious..

    Ingredients for Healthy Chocolate Avocado Muffins Recipe

    • Wheat Flour / Atta - 1 ¼ cup / 150 grams
    • Corn flour / Cornstarch - ¼ cup / 30 grams
    • Cocoa Powder - ½ cup / 50 grams
    • Baking powder - 1 tsp
    • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - ¾ tsp
    • Oil - ⅓ cup / 80 ml
    • Honey - ⅔ cup / 160 ml
    • Avocado - 1 ripe (around 1 cup)
    • Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
    • Milk - ¾ cup / 180 ml
    • Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips - ½ cup + extra for topping
      (My 1 cup measures 240 ml)

    How to make Healthy Chocolate Avocado Muffins

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a 12 cup muffin tin with cupcake cases. Set aside.
    2. Take flour, cocoa, cornflour, baking soda, baking powder, chocolate chips in a separate bowl and mix well. 
    3. Puree avocado in a blender and scoop it into a bowl.
    4. Add in oil, milk, honey, vanilla and mix well. 
    5. Now add in the dry ingredients and fold gently,
    6. Scoop this into cupcake mould using ice cream scoop and top with some chocolate chips on top.
    7. Bake for 15 to 20 mins.
    8. Remove it from oven and let it sit in the mould for 10 mins.
    9. Remove it and cool it.
    10. Serve.

    Ingredients

    • 1 ¼ cup / 150 grams Wheat Flour / Atta
    • ¼ cup / 30 grams Corn flour / Cornstarch
    • ½ cup / 50 grams Cocoa Powder
    • 1 tsp Baking powder
    • ¾ tsp Baking Soda / Cooking Soda
    • ⅓ cup / 80 ml Oil
    • Honey - ⅔ cup / 160 ml
    • 1 ripe around 1 cupAvocado
    • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
    • ¾ cup / 180 ml Milk
    • ½ cup + extra for topping Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips

    Healthy Chocolate Avocado Muffins Recipe  step by step pictures

    Take all your ingredients
    Line cupcake tin with cupcake cases

    Take wheat flour in a bowl
    add in cornflour
    season with salt
    add in cocoa powder
    add in baking soda and baking powder
    chocolate chips
    Toss well and set aside
     
     
    I had an over ripe avocado, I scooped the flesh in a blender and pureed till smooth.
    I took that in a bowl
    added some oil
    add in some honey
    milk
    add in vanilla
    mix well
    add in the dry ingredients
    fold gently
    i used a icecream scoop to fill the muffin mould
    fill the mould
    scatter top of the muffin with chocolate chips
    bake it 
    Now it is done
    Look how moist and soft it looks

      Hi, ur recipe calls for maida, but in the instructions it's wheat flour. Which flour to use. Can I try it with wheat flour? Thank you

      It cannot be so healthy unless you avoid maida. Avoid using them, it is not good for your family's health.
