    Hot Dog Buns Recipe

Last week I made chicken seekh kebab hot dogs for my vlog channel. I wanted to make homemade hot dog buns to put the kebab in. So I whipped up a batch of my easy peasy buns recipe. This recipe never fails me. You can use this for bread as well.

    About Hot Dog Buns Recipe

Hot dog buns are a type of bread specifically designed to hold hot dogs or sausages. It is an elongated buns or rolls in Shape. These rolls are so fluffy and squishy with a slight chewy texture to it.  Hot dog buns are made from ingredients similar to regular bread, such as wheat flour, water, yeast, sugar, salt.

Hot dogs are served in hot dog rolls which are either steamed, toasted or buttered. It depends on each recipe.

    Ingredients for Hot Dog

4 cups All Purpose Flour Maida (480 grams)

    2 teaspoon Dry Yeast

¾ cup Warm Milk (180 ml)

¼ cup Warm Water (60 ml)

    1 Egg

3 tablespoon Melted Butter (45 ml)

    3 tablespoon Sugar (45 grams)

    11/2 tsp  Salt (7.5 grams)

    Questions About Yeast?

One of the questions which I often get is Why my bread is not rising. Why my dough is not doubling up. Why my bread is dense.

    How to Activate Yeast

    • Take warm water in a bowl. Use Luke warm water. Dip your finger in the water and it should be very warm. Just like a warm bath water.
    • sprinkle little sweetness like sugar, honey. Because yeast loves warm and sweet environment.
    • now sprinkle yeast over it. I use dry yeast.
    • leave aside for 5 mins to activate. The yeast mix should be bubbly and foamy. This means yeast is activated.

If your mixture doesn't look foamy.

1)Then you must have added yeast to too hot water so the yeast has died.

2)You have used cold water so yeast didn't activated.

3)Your yeast is expired. Always store yeast in freezer in an air right cont
