Nan Khatai, i have been waiting to bake this cookies for a very long time. And few weeks back, i visited my pregnant friend, so i thought it would be great if i take something homemade for her. Then i decided to bake these cookies, i also baked another batch of cashew cookies which i will share soon.
Baking Time : 15 to 20 mins
Makes : 18 to 20 cookies

All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup / 120 grams
Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu - ½ cup / 60 grams
Ghee / Melted Butter / Oil - ½ cup / 120 ml
Powdered Sugar - ½ cup / 100 grams
Cardamom Powder - ½ tsp
Baking Powder - ½ tsp
Baking Soda - ¼ tsp
Milk - 1 tblspn or as needed
Pista - a handful finely chopped
Preheat oven to 180 Degree C. Line a baking tray with foil and set aside.
Take flour, gram flour, baking soda, baking powder in a bowl and mix well.
Take Ghee, powdered sugar, cardamom powder in a bowl and use a whisk to mix well.
Now add in the flour mix and fold well. Add milk and knead to a soft dough.
Take small portion of the dough and roll it into a ball. Dip it in chopped pista and arrange it in tray.
Bake for 15 to 20 mins or till golden.
Remove from oven and let it cool completely.
Store in a air tight container and Serve.
1)Addition of milk depends on the consistency of the dough. Sometimes you will need more than 1 tblspn of milk. Sometimes you need less.
2)Dont over bake the cookies, the cookies may look soft when you take them from oven and it will harden as they cools.
3)This cookies stays good for a week in a air tight container. You can store them in fridge too.

|Now take some ghee in a bowl|
|add in powdered sugar..this is normal sugar

|add in cardamom powder|
|mix well using a whisk|
|add in the dry ingredients|
|I found the mixture to be too crumbly, so added little milk|
|Add little milk at a time and knead to a soft dough|
|Now take a small portion|
|Roll it into balls|
|dip them in chopped up pista|
|look how it is studded|
|arrange it in a baking tray which is lined with foil|
|Bake till done|
|let them cool down|
|They taste great..|
