    Oats Kara Kozhukattai Recipe

I got a mail from one of my friend as well as viewer named Mubashira. She told me that her dad had a bypass surgery and he is suffering from diabetics. So she asked me to post some diabetic recipes which she can make for her dad. This recipe is for her.I am planning to post many more diabetic recipe in the coming days as well. Mubashira we pray that you father get well soon:)

This is really a tasty and extremely healthy dish which you could ever make with oats..This is great for people who are in diet because they often get bored by eating the same thing like oats porridge and roti again and again. You could add lots of veggies in this like carrot, cabbage and many more as per your taste.

Oats Kolukattai can be served for breakfast, lunch or dinner..It is a quite filling meal. This is perfect to put in tiffin box for kids along with some ketchup on side. I bet you they will surely love it.

    About Oats Kara Kozhukattai Recipe

Kozhukkattai, also known as kozhukatta, is a popular South Indian dumpling made from rice flour and filled with grated coconut, jaggery, or chakkavaratti. Kozhukattai, while typically sweet, can occasionally be stuffed with a savoury filling. Kerala Christians prepare it on the Saturday before Palm Sunday, hence the name Kozhukatta Saturday. Modak is a similar dish that is prepared in other parts of India. This is a popular dish for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Oats are one of the healthiest grains on the planet. They're a gluten- free whole grain thats high in vitamins, minerals, fibre, and antioxidants. According to research, oats and oatmeal have numerous health benefits. Weight loss, lower blood sugar levels, and a lower risk of heart disease are among the benefits.

    Ingredients for Oats Kara Kozhukattai

    Instant Oats :
Instant oatmeal is designed to be more convenient. For faster preparation, they are rolled extra thin and milled finer than quick- cooking rolled oats. Another way instant oats are made for less prep time is that they are pre-cooked.

    Mustard Seeds :
They are used as a seasoning rather than a base flavour in many Indian dishes, and they really perk up a lentil or rice dish when fried in a little oil with curry leaves . As a result, mustard seeds are excellent for adding flavour without adding fat to your diet.

    Dry Red Chillies :
Red chilies were introduced to India by Portuguese traders from Mexico. India is now the world leader in the cultivation of dry red chilies. Red chilies are more commonly consumed in hotter regions of India, such as Rajasthan, because they help to keep the blood clean and thin.
