    Pan Fried Lemon Garlic Chicken Recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe is one pan chicken with lemon,garlic sauteed in mushrooms and oregano potatoes.

    Pan Fried Lemon Garlic Chicken

    I love these kind of meals a lot.I like to treat myself with these kind of meals often. This is a simple, clean and healthy plate of food. It taste really delicious and is very light on tummy as well. 

    This plate has the best combo in food history..It has chicken, potatoes and mushrooms..I made a simple roast potatoes on pan and a butter sauted mushrooms which was too good to resist. But as the main the chicken was too good. It is moist and succulent. Check out chicken piccata recipe too.

    Ingredients for Pan Fried Lemon Garlic Chicken

    • For Lemon Garlic Chicken:
    • Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast - 2 medium size
    • Shallots / Sambar Onion - 2 chopped finely
    • Garlic - 2 cloves chopped finely
    • Dried Thyme - 1 tsp
    • White Wine or Water - 1 cup
    • Lemon Juice - 2 tblspn or to taste
    • Butter - 2 tblspn
    • Salt to taste
    • Pepper to taste
    • Parsley a handful chopped finely
    • Oil - 2 tblspn

    For Oregano Potatoes:

    • Potatoes -3 large peeled and cut into wedges
    • Oil - 2 tblspn
    • Garlic - 2 to 4 cloves unpeeled
    • Oregano - 1 tsp
    • Red Chilli Flakes to taste
    • Salt to taste

    For Mushrooms:

    • Butter - 2 tblspn
    • Shallots - 2 chopped finely
    • Garlic - 2 chopped finely
    • Mushrooms - 3 cups chopped
    • Salt to taste
    • Pepper to taste
    • Cream - 3 tblspn
    • Parsley - 2 tblspn finely chopped
     

    Hubby took a bite and he loved it to the core and finished the whole platter in minutes. It was that good.

    How to Make Pan Fried Lemon Garlic Chicken

    1. First start with potatoes. Blanch potato wedges in salted boiling water for 5 mins. Drain and set aside.
    2. Heat oil in a large pan, add in unpeeled garlic and potatoes. Cook till golden on all sides.
    3. Now add in salt, oregano and chilli flakes and toss well. Now it is done.
    4. Now make mushrooms.Heat butter in a pan, add in garlic and shallots and cook till golden.
    5. Add in mushrooms and cook till golden.
    6. Now add in salt and pepper to taste along with cream and parsley. Mix well. Now it is done.
    7. Take chicken breast and bash them lightly so it gets even thickness.
    8. Now season both sides with salt and pepper.
    9. Heat oil in a pan, place chicken in it and cook for 3 mins on one side, flip over and cook for couple of mins.
    10. Now remove it to a clean place.
    11. In the same pan add in garlic and shallots and cook till golden.
    12. Now add in thyme and water. Add in lemon juice and mix well.
    13. Place chicken back in and add butter. Now cook covered on a low heat for 8 t 10 mins.
    14. Add parsley and mix well.
    15. Serve with potatoes and mushrooms..

    Pan Fried Lemon Garlic Chicken Step by Step

     
    First lets make the potatoes
    peel them and cut into wedges
     
    now it is done
    take potatoes in a sauce pan
    cover with water
    add salt
    blanch for few mins
    drain them
    Heat oil in a pan
    add whole unpeeled garlic

    add potatoes
    toss well
    cook till golden
    now season with salt and chilli flakes 
    add oregano
    toss well...potatoes done
    Take all ingredients for mushrooms
    heat butter in a pan
    add garlic and shallots
    saute for a min
    add mushrooms
    toss well
    cook till golden
    season with salt and pepper
    add in cream
    mix well
    add in parsley..now it is done
    take ingredients for chicken
    bash chicken lightly so it is even
    now it is even thickness
    season with salt and pepper
    place it in a heated pan with oil
    season with salt and pepper on other side
    cook for few mins
    flip over and cook for few mins
    remove to a clean plate
    in the same pan
    add shallots and garlic
    cook till golden
    add thyme
    mix well
    add white wine or chicken stock or water
    season with salt and pepper
    mix well
    add lemon juice
    butter
    place chicken back in
    pour any juices that is collected in the pan
    mix well
    spoon some of the sauce over the chicken so the chicken dont dry out
    cover and simmer for few mins
    now it is done
    add parsley and mix well
    now in a serving place, place chicken
    place potatoes and mushrooms
    spoon sauce over the chicken
