Peas Poha Recipe

Poha is one of my favourite, we make it atleast once a week, but mostly it is southindian way by adding coconut to it..But this recipe is new to me and it taste just yummy. I have had this poha quite a few times during our trip to north, i loved it for breakfast..So i tried it yesterday and it was delicious..So here i am with the post.

I added frozen peas in this and made it as peas poha, you can use fresh peas or any veggies in this as well.
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Serves: 2

Ingredients:
Poha / Aval – 2 cups
Peas – 3/4 cup ( i used frozen)
Oil – 2 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku – 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1 tsp
Ginger – 1 tsp chopped finely
Green Chilli – 1 chopped finely
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar – 1 tsp
Lemon Juice to taste
Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped

Method:
Take poha in a bowl, add water over it. let it sit for 30 sec, then drain it and remove excess water.
Now take that in a bowl, sprinkle salt, sugar, lemon juice, chilli powder and turmeric over it and mix well.
Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
Add in ginger and green chillies and saute for few sec.
Add in peas and mix well.
Now add in the poha and stir fry for few mins.
Add in lemon juice and coriander leaves.
Mix well and serve.

Take all your ingredients

Take poha in a bowl

cover with water and let it sit for 30 seconds

drain it immediately, squeeze and remove excess water

take it in a bowl

add turmeric and chilli powder

add salt and sugar

add lemon juice

mix well

crackle mustard and cumin in oil

add in ginger and green chillies

fry for few sec

add in peas

stir fry for few mins

add in poha

toss well

now it is almost done

add in lemon juice

add in coriander leaves

mix well
