Peas Poha Recipe
Poha is one of my favourite, we make it at least once a week, but mostly it is south indian way by adding coconut to it..But this recipe is new to me and it taste just yummy. I have had this poha quite a few times during our trip to north, i loved it for breakfast..So i tried it yesterday and it was delicious..So here i am with the post.
I added frozen peas in this and made it as peas poha, you can use fresh peas or any veggies in this as well.

Ingredients for Peas Poha
- Poha / Aval - 2 cups
- Peas - ¾ cup ( i used frozen)
- Oil - 2 tblspn
- Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
- Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
- Ginger - 1 tsp chopped finely
- Green Chilli - 1 chopped finely
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Lemon Juice to taste
- Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
How to Make Peas Poha
- Take poha in a bowl, add water over it. let it sit for 30 sec, then drain it and remove excess water.
- Now take that in a bowl, sprinkle salt, sugar, lemon juice, chilli powder and turmeric over it and mix well.
- Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let them sizzle.
- Add in ginger and green chillies and saute for few sec.
- Add in peas and mix well.
- Now add in the poha and stir fry for few mins.
- Add in lemon juice and coriander leaves.
- Mix well and serve.
