Prawn Pepper Fry Recipe

Prawn pepper fry is a recipe which was on my mind for quite some time. It is spicy, hot and totally delicious. I made it comepletely southindian style, but there are so many version of this recipe. Will share all of them soon.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 25 to 30 mins
Serves : 4


Ingredients:


For Marination:
Prawns – 20 
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 3 tblspn


For Curry:
Onion – 1 sliced thinly
Green Chilli – 1 or 2 slit
Curry Leaves a sprig
Bell Pepper / Capsicum – 1 sliced thinly
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1.5 tsp
Fresh Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
Salt to taste


Method:

Mix all the ingredients for marination and mix well. Set aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add in prawns and fry for a min. Now remove to a bowl.

In the same oil and add in onions, chillies and curry leaves. Season with salt and cook for a min.

Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.

Add in capsicum and saute for 2 mins.

Now add in prawns and mix well.

Add in some garam masala powder and toss well. Cover and cook for 4 to 5 mins.

Now add in pepper and coriander leaves, Toss well.

Serve.

Take all your ingredients
Take prawns in a bowl
add in little salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder
add in ginger garlic paste
mix well
Heat little oil in a pan, add the prawns in
saute for a min
now it almost half cooked
remove to a bowl..this sauteing removes the raw smell from the prawns
now the remaining oil
add in sliced onions, green chillies and curry leaves
saute for a min
add in some ginger garlic  paste
and some salt
toss well
add in sliced capsicum
mix well
add in prawns
toss well
add some garam masala powder
mix well
cover and cook for 3 to 5 mins
now it is done
sprinkle in some fresh ground pepper
add in lots of chopped coriander leaves
mix well
serve
