Purple Cabbage Tikki Recipe – Cabbage & Aloo Cutlet Recipe

A delicious and simple cutlet recipe made with purple cabbage. I made this for my little one and she loved it so much. It is very good for your body and has many nutrients and vitamins in them. And this recipe is a great way to include cabbage in your kids diet. You can put this in their snacks box and they will love it for sure..

I buy purple cabbage often, but i haven’t shared much recipes using it. I have shared only a couple of recipes, but no worries will soon share many recipes soon..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 mins
Chilling Time :  30 mins
Makes : 15 tikki

Ingredients:

Purple Cabbage / Cabbage – 3 cups chopped finely
Potatoes – 1 large boiled and peeled
Breadcrumbs – 1 cup to 1.5 cup
Oil – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 medium size chopped
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil – 1 tsp and for pan frying

Method:

Take potatoes in a bowl, mash it roughly and set aside.

Heat little oil in a pan, add in onions, ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.

Add in cabbage and salt and mix well. Cook for 3 mins or so.

Now add in chilli and garam masala powder and mix well.

Pour this to the potatoes and mash well.

Add breadcrumbs and mix well.

Take small portion from this and roll it into a ball, flatten it and place it in a plate.

Put the plate in fridge and chill for 30 mins.

Heat oil in a pan, place the tikki and fry till golden on both sides.

Drain onto some paper towel and serve.



I used this chopper and i recommend it..

Take your purple cabbage you can use normal cabbage as well
cut it and admire the beauty of it
You  can chop or slice them thinly, i used my chopper to chop it finely
all done
Now take your ingredients
Take a boiled peeled potato in a bowl
mash them roughly
heat little oil in a pan, add in onions
along with some ginger garlic paste
saute for a min
add in cabbage
season with salt
mix well
add in some chilli powder and garam masala powder
saute for few sec..
add it into the potato
add in some breadcrumbs
mix well..The dough has to be stiff, so add breadcrumbs as much
take a small portion
roll it into a ball
flatten it lightly
arrange it in a plate and chill it for 30 mins
now pan fry it in little oil
cook till golden on both sides
drain them onto some paper towel
