About Radish Sambar Recipe (Mullangi Sambar)

Now moving back to the recipe. Radish was one of the most hated vegetable of mine before marriage. But after marriage I started to pick few radishes when I was visiting market.

Radishes are not only cheap, it is packed with lots of minerals. Mainly it is good for people who are in diet, radishes helps in losing weight.  So what I make with that, someday I make this Radish paratha, but most of the time it will this yummy sambar. This sambar is packed with full flavor, those radishes give this sambar a unique taste and aroma.

Hey I have one raddish recipe it's quite yummy & easy way to prepare :

      Ingredients:

      1) Rice flour
      2) Cumin seeds
      3) Salt
      4) Radish (grated)
      5) Green chillies ( finely chopped)
      6) Corrainder leaves ( finely chopped)
      7) Curry leaves ( finelychopped)
      8) Onion (finely chopped)

      Method:

Mix the grated radish, finely chopped onion and rice flour( do not add water) in such consistency that you will be able to make a Vada dough. To this u can add green chillies+ corriander leaves + curry leaves+ cumin seeds+ salt as per ur taste.

That's it u need to deep fry in Oil till the vada turns golden brown and then your yummy vada will be ready.

Note : VERY IMPORTANT DO NOT ADD WATER AS RADISH AND ONION LEAVES WATER BEHIND.

      Thanks,
      Valar Naidu 🙂

The radish sambhar looks yummy. I usually make it with thoor dal. I like it like that. You can also make poriyal with radish, add some soaked chana dal or moong dal. Usually fresh and tender radishes are good, but more mature ones have a strong smell. In that case add finely chopped ginger along with the onions.
