    Ragi Chocolate Milkshake - Finger Millet Chocolate Smoothie Recipe

    This is one drink which i made recently and i am in love with it. This is great for breakfast during hot summer days, since having hot ragi malt is impossible these days. I made this chocolate version for me and a plain badam version for hubby. He loved it so much. You will never find ragi added in this drink unless mentioned. The ragi just act as a thickening agent and gives a nice creamy texture to the smoothie.

    Preparation Time : 5 mins
    Cooking Time : 5 mins
    Serves: 2

    Ingredients:

    Ragi Flour / Finger Millet Flour - 2 to 3 tblspn
    Water - ½ cup
    Cocoa Powder - 1 to 2 tblspn or to taste
    Cold Milk - 2 cups
    Sugar to taste


    Method:

    Take ragi flour in a sauce pan, add in water and mix well so no lumps is formed. Now cook this on low heat till it thickens. 

    Take it off the heat and add in cocoa powder.Now cool this mixture.

    Take it in a blender, add in sugar and milk and blend till creamy.

    Pour into glass and chill before serving.

      Made this milkshake for my family today. Will never know ragi has been added. Very nice. Instead of choco can I make with almond. When should I add almond.

      instead of choco powder can we use nutella
      is it healthy for a 3 yr baby

        Will mever prefer nutella as it has its own drawback. You can replace with dark chocolate..always healthy
