    About Chocolate Icing Recipe

Chocolate icing is nothing but a simple chocolate icing that can be either poured over or drizzled on cakes, cupcakes or even over ice cream. The consistency for the glaze is perfect to be poured or drizzled over brownies.

It is so easy to make, all you need is confectioners sugar, cocoa powder and milk. Also you don't need electric mixer or hand blender. All you need is a bowl and a whisk or wooden spoon.

Since the taste of the icing totally depends on the cocoa powder. Try to use best quality unsweetened cocoa powder for rich chocolate flavor.

You can make the glaze in advance and store in fridge. If you prefer to store this chocolate icing, just use hot water instead of milk. You can keep them in an air tight container at room temperature.

If you want to pipe this over cookies or cakes, you can make it slightly thick, transfer it to piping bag and you can decorate cakes.

      Helllo Aarthi,

Appreciate on how you present each of your recipe in a detailed manner. I am impressed to see a variety of sections (Baby, Baking etc) in your blog.

Quick question on the chocolate glaze. As I was looking for a veg version of glaze for my cake, I saw this recipe of yours.

Will it have the same effect of glaze without agar agar?

      My Best Wishes

      Hi Aarti,
YOur blog is the reason I have started baking. Thanks a lot! I hadn’t a query- for all the different frostings you have pasted. Can they all be frozen and used for later if we have made excess? Will it be good?
