    • Cocoa Powder - 3 tbsp
    • Baking Soda - ½ tsp
    • Baking Powder - ¾ tsp
    • Unsalted Butter - 100 grams soft
    • Sugar - ¾ cup / 150 grams
    • Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
    • Egg - 1
    • Milk - ¼ cup
    • Orange Zest - 1 tbsp

    For Orange Chocolate Frosting:

    • Unsalted Butter - 50 grams
    • Orange Juice - 4 tablespoon + 2 tbsp
    • Confectioners Sugar - 1 cup

(My One Cup Measures 240 ml)

I used a plain cupcake batter recipe and added some orange zest to the batter to give the cupcake an orange aroma. Then i made a rich creamy orange chocolate frosting. It was a hit.

The cupcakes tasted so chocolaty with a hint of orange flavour coming through it. I liked it a lot. You can frost it with any of your favourite frosting.

Hi, These look really yummy. Wanna try this. pls tell me the consistency of the batter. Is it ok if it is thick or should it be like idli batter? Also is it necessary to use both baking soda and baking powder. Can i use only baking powder instead? What should be the quantity of baking powder if i'm not using baking soda?
