    Sundakkai Podi

    This is one of the simple podi which taste great with hot rice mixed with ghee or gingelly oil. Very good for health and digestion.

    Ingredients for Sundakkai Podi

    • Sundakkai / Turkey berry - 1 cup
    • Dry Red Chillies - 2 to 3
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 2 tsp
    • Garlic - 3 cloves
    • Oil - 1 tsp

    How to make Sundakkai Podi

    1. Heat oil in a kadai, add in sundakkai and fry till golden.
    2. Add in chillies and cumin seed and fry for a min.
    3. Take this in a blender, add in garlic and salt. 
    4. Powder it finely.
    5. Serve this with rice drizzle with some ghee.
    6. You can keep this in fridge or at room temp for couple of weeks.

    Sundakkai Podi Recipe step by step picture 

     
    Take all your ingredients..You dont need salt, 
    since the turkey berry is salted
    Heat oil in a kadai. Add in sundakkai
    fry till golden
    Add in cumin seeds and dry red chillies
    fry till golden
    Take it in a blender
    add in garlic
    Powder it ..now it is coarsely crushed
    Now it is done
    Enjoy with hot rice drizzled with some ghee

      It will be good if you mention turkey berry vathal as you are not using fresh turkey berry...I was wondering hw to fry itgolden brown until I saw the pictures!
