    Toasted Paneer for Kids

    Toasted Paneer recipe, is a simple dish where paneer is marinated in lemon, herbs, chilli and salt. It is then toasted to create easy finger snack for your kids. Enjoy it as it is or with any dips that your kids prefer.

    Toasted Paneer for Kids

    Paneer is one such ingredient that is high in protein. My little one love paneer in any form. I make this often as her snack and she loves it. I thought of sharing it with you because many of you have been asking me the recipe when I shared it on my Instagram.

    This is a simple recipe made with paneer. You need paneer, few spices and herbs and toast in oil.

    About Toasted Paneer

    Paneer is a high protein ingredient that is great for vegetarians. It is a staple ingredient in many of the popular side dishes like paneer butter masala, palak paneer.

    It is hugely popular with kids mainly for the texture. This recipe is one such recipe which you can make for your kids if they are asking for quick after school snack.

    Serve toasted paneer with any dips of choice or as a stuffing for wraps, sandwiches.

    Ingredients

    • Paneer - You can use homemade paneer or store bought paneer. I sliced paneer into strips, you can cut into cubes.
    • Spices & Herbs - I used chilli powder, oregano as seasoning. You can use any spice mix that you prefer.
    • Oil or Butter - for toasting paneer, you can use butter or oil.
    • Lemon - a drizzle of lemon juice adds a hint of fresh zingy taste.

    Step by Step Pictures

    1)Take your paneer, cut into long strips like fingers. It is better to use homemade paneer.

    2)Now lets make marination. Take salt, red chilli powder and oregano in a bowl. You can use your favorite herbs in this marinate.

    3)Add in oil, instead of oil you can use ghee too.

    4)Add in some lemon juice and mix well.

    5)Mix well and this is your marination.

    6)Add in paneer strips and toss well in the marination.

    7)Let the paneer marinate for 5 minutes in the masala.

    8)In a skillet, Add in paneer and toast on medium heat until golden on all sides.

    9)Toast the paneer until golden on all sides.

    10)Serve hot.

    Ingredients
      

    • 100 grams Paneer cut into finger shape
    • 2 tablespoon Oil or Ghee
    • 2 teaspoon Lemon Juice
    • ½ teaspoon Dried Oregano
    • ¼ teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
    • Salt to taste

    Instructions
     

    • Take lemon juice, oregano, red chilli powder, oil and salt in a bowl. Add in paneer and mix well.
    • Heat a skillet, Place the paneer in it and fry till golden on all sides. Serve hot with any dips.

      Hi,
      You recipe is really simple n tasty. Just a small query instead of deep frying can these paneer be shallow fried? My baby loves paneer but do not want to give deep fried.
