Happy Saturday guys. Today I am going out of town, I will be back tomorrow night..So I have scheduled the recipes using automatic post..I will check all your blogs and comments once I come back..For now I am leaving you with a basic vanilla cake.

I am with another easy peasy cake recipe for this Christmas..This is the basic vanilla cake and cupcake recipe with is perfect, spongy and moist. I made this for my sister’s friend Birthday.I doubled the original recipe to make cake for  her and make cupcakes for me..But the recipe which I have given is perfect for a single round cake.
So hope you love it and Merry Christmas guys..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 40 mins

Recipe Source:  Mom’s Recipes

Ingrediants:
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1 1/2 cup / 150 grams
Sugar- 1 cup / 200 grams
Eggs – 2
Baking Powder -1 1/8 tsp
Baking Soda – ¼ tsp
Milk – ½ cup / 120 ml
Vegetable Oil-  ½ cup / 120 ml
Vanilla Essence- 2 tsp
Chocolate Ganache Frosting as needed
Sprinkles or any decorative stuffs
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F. Butter a round baking tin on all sides and dust it with flour. Tip off the excess flour and set this aside for a moment.
Take flour, baking powder and baking soda in a bowl and mix well. Set this too aside.
Take eggs, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl and beat till light and pale..
Add oil, milk and mix well. Now sift in the flour mixture in this and fold gently until combined.
Pour this into the prepared tin and bake it for 30-35 mins until it is light golden and a toothpick inserted  comes out clean.
Let it cool in the tin for 10 mins. Remove it from the tin and allow it to cool down completely and decorate with your favorite frosting.
Enjoy..

    Hello Aarthi !

I am a regular follower of your blog. ..a secret admirer! I tried this cake today. ..but not sure why the center part took very long to bake. About 50 minutes actually. The upper part has become crispy. What would be the reason? ?
