Cinnamon Bread

Cinnamon Bread
This recipe is on my list for months..I always wanted to make this dish..I got this recipe from the pioneer woman’s blog...I love Ree so much..She is a great cook and a great blogger..This pictures looks almost like a cake than a bread that is because I couldn’t find a loaf pan here..so I used a aluminium tin..So I din get the perfect bread loaf shape..who cares about the shape, this taste divine..I promise you..It was so good..We finished it that day itself..i got a slice leftover next day(lucky to have that) so I toasted it by applying some butter in that and tasted it..i should tell you that was heavenly...I highly recommend to try this bread...this bread is pretty easy to make..I cannot find cinnamon powder here so,I took some cinnamon bark and powdered it in mixi and used that..You can always adjust the amount of sugar that you add in this..please please give it a try..i am gonna do it again soon...Please make this and let me know how it came..please leave comments...

Milk-1 cup / 240 ml / 8 fluid ounces / 1/2 pint
Yeast-2 1/2 tsp
Eggs-2
Salt-1 tsp
Sugar-1/3 cup + 1/3 cup ( a total of 130 gms)
Cinnamon Powder-2 tblspn
Raisans - 1 tblspn (optional)

Method:

In a bowl mix together sugar with cinnamon and set this aside.

In a mixing bowl add eggs,2 tblspn of sugar, salt and mix well.

When it foams up,pour this in to the egg mixture and mix well. Now pour this into the flour and make a slightly sticky dough.

Take a big bowl and apply oil on all sides and place the dough in this and cover it.Let it rise for 30 min.

After 30 min, take the dough out of the bowl punch the air out of it and knead it for 5 min.

Spread the dough in to a thin sheet(make sure that the rolled sheet fits the loaf pan),apply softened butter on the sheet then sprinkle with the prepared cinnamon sugar all over the sheet.Add some raisins on that..

Roll it and place it inside a well buttered loaf pan and let it rise for 1 hour. Then brush it with milk or egg wash...
