Fondant has been requested by many of my viewers. So i decided to share a fondant recipe which i use for my cake business. I have another version of fondant which is made with marshmallows. Will share that version soon. This fondant recipe calls for glycerine, liquid glucose and stuffs like that. I got all of these supplies online from this shop. Icing Sugar / Confectioner Sugar - 1 kg
Water - 1/4 cup
Gelatin - 1 tblspn
Liquid Glucose - 1/2 cup ( You can use white corn syrup)
Glycerine - 11/2 tblspn
Vanilla Essence - 1 tsp
Take icing sugar in a sifter and sieve it well. Now divide into two equal portions and set aside.
Now take a microwave safe bowl or a small sauce pan. Take water, add in gelatin and let it sit for 5 mins. Now pop it microwave and melt it for 2 mins. You can melt it gently on stove top too.
Now take it out and let it cool a bit, add in liquid glucose, vanilla, glycerine. Mix well.
Take a bowl of icing sugar, make a well. Pour this mix in and use a spoon to fold the icing sugar in. Once all the sugar is folded in, sprinkle more sugar and knead it in.
Add more sugar and keep kneading till the dough is not at all sticky. Knead it till it is smooth.
Now rub some oil over it and cover with plastic wrap. Put this in a air tight container and leave it on counter overnight. Dont refrigerate fondant.
The next day, you can add any food colouring and knead well. Add more powdered sugar if needed.
How to use fondant on cakes.
Bake your cakes, let it cool, Now decorate it with butter cream and chill it.
When you want to use it in any cakes. dust the work top with cornstarch and roll it..Then roll this rolled fondant over a rolling pin and unroll it over cake. Trim off the excess fondant.
Dont refrigerate fondant covered cakes.

|Sieve it well|
|Once it is sieved, divide it into two bowls|
|Take water in a jug|
|Add in gelatin|
|Soak it for 5 mins|
|Now microwave it for 2 mins|
|Now it is all melted|
|Add in liquid glucose|
|Add in vanilla essence|
|Add in glycerin|
|Now take one bowl of powdered sugar|
|Make a well in the center|
|I use a plastic gloves to make this|
|Pour the liquid in|
|Use a spoon to incorporate it in|
|Slowly keep on mixing|
|Now it will start to come together|
|When everything is folded in|
|Add in more powdered sugar|
|Knead it well..You have to keep on adding sugar till the fondant is no longer sticky|
|Grease your hands with some oil|
|Spread it all over the fondant|
|Wrap it in plastic wrap|
|Place it in a air tight contianer and let it rest overnight.|
|You can add any colour to it, knead it well, and use it..|
