Potato Bread Balls Recipe


A great snack for kids and for adults as well. It is quite easy to make and taste delicious. I used wheat bread so i find it a little dense, if you use white bread it will just great.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 25 to 30 mins
Makes : 6 to 8 balls

Ingredients:

Bread Slices - 6 to 8
Oil - 1 tsp + for deep frying
Onion - 1 medium size chopped finely
Curry leaves a spring chopped finely
Green Chillies - 1 chopped finely
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Potatoes - 2 large boiled, peeled and mashed

Method:

Heat oil in a pan, add in onions, curry leaves, chillies, salt and saute for a min.

Now add in all spice powders and toss well.

Pour this in mashed potatoes and mix well. Divide it into equal portions. Shape it into balls.

Take bread slices and dip into water, squeeze and mash well.

Take small portion, flatten it slightly, put potato ball in the center, cover it up, smooth it up.

Heat oil for deep frying. Drop balls in, and fry till golden.

Drain and serve.

Boil some potatoes


Peel them


Mash them up, set aside


Heat oil in a pan

saute for a min


add in ginger garlic paste


sprinkle some salt


mix well


add in coriander powder


and some chilli and garam masala powder


mix well


add this to potatoes


mix well


divide it into equal balls


take some bread slices and dip in water


squeeze them up


now take a small portion from this


shape it into ball


flatten it slightly


place a ball in the center


cover it up


shape it into smooth balls


done


fry in hot oil


enjoy

  2. Hi I really love all your recipes and the pictorial representations. They're all so easy to make.
    But I've had a little trouble with the bread recipes as I am unable to shape the bread without it breaking apart. How do I fix that?

  3. @Anonymousonce u squeeze the bread, knead it really well, then shape it into balls. now you will be able to shape it
