How to Make Fondant Teddy Bear - Fondant Teddy Bear Step By Step Tutorial

Working with fondant can be quite fun, it is just like making sculptures out of clay. So easy and so much fun. Couple of days back i was in a mood to create some animals using that..So i decided to take pics as well, since many of you guys were asking me this..I used marshmallow fondant for this and it worked like a charm..

I referred some website and videos to create this teddy bear. I am telling you this is just to give you a idea, because i am not a professional and these wont look so professional. But i think it is okay to make your kids happy..

Check out the pictorial for step by step tutorial on how to make fondant teddy.

I used my Homemade Marshmallow Fondant for this and it worked like a charm..

Pictorial:
Take a portion of fondant

Make a big ball for body and small ball for head

now take another portion of fondant for the hands..roll it into smooth round

use a finger to roll it

keep rolling like this

keep rolling

you will get like this

now take the bigger ball..which is the body

use a brush to apply some water on top

stick the hand like this

now brush some water on top of the hands

place the head on top

you need these tools..

use this for eyes

this is a smiley tool

so cute right

now take a small portion of fondant to make legs

roll like this..make one more like this too

now lift the teddy and apply some water on the bottom of the teddy

stick like this..this form the legs

now lets make the ears..take a small ball

you need this tool..dip it lightly in icing sugar first

press like this

cut it in half..this gives you two ears

press it lightly

so it forms like this

brush some water on the head lightly

stick the ears on

cute huh!

i made small tiny ball and flattened it slightly and sticked it for nose..I made a dimple in the tummy using the tool which i used for making eyes

i took some mustard seeds

sticked it in the eyes

How cute is this..Dry it for few hours, before placing it over your cake..
